Community Ambassador Team

Made By grows through connection.

Made By belongs to communities across Kawartha Lakes. Our Community Ambassador Team helps us stay connected to the people, places, organizations, stories, skills and opportunities we might otherwise miss.

This is not a committee. It is a practical network of people who know their communities and want to help knowledge move in both directions—bringing local insight to Made By and sharing Made By’s work more widely.

What might a Community Ambassador do?

Community Ambassadors help Made By notice and connect with what is happening across Kawartha Lakes. That might mean:

• telling us about a person, place, object, skill or story worth exploring
• introducing us to a community group, maker, researcher or local contact
• sharing photographs, documents, event information or local knowledge
• helping us spread the word about Made By programs and opportunities
• representing Made By at an occasional community gathering or event

There are no fixed hours and no expectation that everyone will do the same things. Ambassadors can take part in the ways that suit their interests, knowledge, communities and availability.

Who can become an Ambassador?

You do not need a particular title, profession or level of experience. We welcome people with a genuine connection to a Kawartha Lakes community and a desire to help local knowledge, creativity and stories travel farther.

The team will gather periodically to exchange ideas, hear about upcoming opportunities and choose ways to become involved. Ambassador contributions will also be recognized as part of Made By’s annual community celebration.
